Friday 12th October – Flute, Violin and Piano Trio Concert: A Musical Offering

121018

A musically rich programme will see Bach’s grandiose work, Trio from The Musical Offering ,

paving the way to the 21st century and Luckett’s Premiere for solo flute. Time is suspended with Messiaen’ s Theme and Variations for violin and piano while bursting flavours and colourful sound-scapes will emerge through the works of Ravel, Rota and Piazolla.

Klio Blonz (flute) and Grace Mo (piano) have been working together since 2015. Both international artists, one of their most recent projects has seen them perform at the International Chamber Concert Series at the Megaron Hall in Thessaloniki, Greece, receiving excellent reviews. They are looking forward to collaborating with the talented violist Fenella Humphreys and bringing this exciting program to St Luke’s Concert Series.

I’d do everything I could to give everyone a moment of happiness. That’s what’s at the heart of my music.” Nino Rota
