Friday 3rd August – The Windmill Clarinet Quartet

Works by Mendelssohn, Max Dubois and Bizet in their concert alongside the first performance of “Clarinet Quartet” by local composer Barry Mills.

The Windmill Clarinet Quartet takes its name from the rehearsal venue – a house within view of the picturesque windmill at Wray Common in Reigate.   All experienced players and teachers, the members span several generations as Karen Howells and Henry Melbourne were taught up to conservatoire entry by Margaret Crutchfield with Edmund Crutchfield on bass clarinet.   These friends very much enjoy playing chamber music together.
